Falcons sign defensive end, cut wide receiver

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Falcons signed defensive end A.J. Jefferson and released wide receiver Bra'lon Cherry on Tuesday.

Jefferson, who played at Mississippi State, is listed at 6-foot-2 and 280 pounds.

The Falcons signed Cherry, who played at N.C. State, after wide receiver Devin Fuller went down with an season-ending knee injury on July 28.
