UPDATED: Delta warns travelers that Hurricane Matthew may affect flights

Delta Air Lines is warning travelers that Hurricane Matthew may affect flights to, from or through parts of the Caribbean and the Southeast this week.

Those whose flights are canceled or delayed 90 minutes or more can get a refund for unused flights.

For those who want to change their travel plans, the airline is waiving certain change fees for those with flights booked Oct. 6-9 to, from or through Brunswick or Savannah; Raleigh, Wilmington, Fayetteville, New Bern and Jacksonville in North Carolina; Charleston or Myrtle Beach in South Carolina; and Newport News and Norfolk in Virginia.

Delta is also waiving those fees for travelers who have flights scheduled Oct. 2-6 to, from or through Kingston and Montego Bay in Jamaica; Georgetown and Nassau in the Bahamas; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.

And travelers with bookings for Oct. 6-8 to fly to, from or through Daytona, Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Key West, Melbourne, Miami, Orlando and West Palm Beach in Florida can also make a limited one-time change to their itineraries without paying a change fee.
