A SunTrust branch is now open at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

The branch in the domestic terminal atrium of the world's busiest airport replaces a Wells Fargo branch that closed in 2017.

The new SunTrust branch opened Jan. 22, ahead of the Super Bowl with tens of thousands of travelers flying into Atlanta for the game. SunTrust is also the official bank of the Atlanta Super Bowl host committee.

SunTrust, which won a contract last year to replace Wells Fargo as the bank operating at Hartsfield-Jackson, also has 15 ATMs around the Atlanta airport, with plans to open two more.

decline in the use of cash prompted the Atlanta airport to rebid the bank contract and reduce the minimum annual rent required. SunTrust was the only company that submitted a proposal for the contract.
