Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport says runways, taxiways, roadways and bridges have been treated and operations continue Tuesday as a winter storm hits Atlanta.

Delta Air Lines canceled about 170 flights Tuesday in Atlanta in anticipation of the storm. Southwest Airlines has also canceled some of its flights.

Atlanta airport officials said at mid-day Tuesday that operations "are normal," but passengers should check their flight status with their airline. Officials continue to monitor conditions.

Hartsfield Jackson said roadways and bridges were treated with brine overnight, and runways and taxiways were also treated in preparation for the storm.
