No. 1 tight end Isaac Nauta at UGA Dawg Night (Randy Schafer/Special to the AJC)

Isaac Nauta, who is rated as the nation’s No. 1 tight end and has flirted a lot with UGA in recent weeks, backed off his pledge to Florida State on Tuesday.

Nauta, who is originally from Buford, had been pledged to FSU for months.

Nauta attended UGA’s Dawg Night prospect camp last week, and he hung out a few days with Jacob Eason, the UGA 5-star QB commit who is from Lake Stevens, Wash.
