Better get your outdoor weekend fun in on Saturday, because the weather in metro Atlanta likely will be turning wet after then.

“Saturday is your best day for outdoor plans,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

Chance of rain is at 30 percent Saturday, and the best chances for precipitation will be south of metro Atlanta, Monahan said.

However, chance of rain jumps to 60 percent Sunday. “It’s going to be on the wet side by Sunday afternoon, continuing into Monday” Monahan said.

Saturday’s high is expected to hit 87, with the rain cooling things off to a forecast high of 84 on Sunday.

About 5:30 p.m., the temps were at 83 in Atlanta, 86 in Griffin and 81 in Blairsville.

Partly cloudy for your Saturday afternoon
