It’s warm and sunny outside, but you might have to sit in traffic before you can enjoy it.

Evening commuters are enduring delays near Georgia State's stadium as the school continues its commencement ceremonies. The last day of graduations is Friday.

Drivers also dealt with heavy delays on I-75 North at Delk Road. A stalled bus led to two lanes being blocked.

Also, GDOT crews completed work on a sinkhole on Jonesboro Road near the I-75 bridge in Clayton County, but one left turn lane to I-75 North will remain closed overnight. Crews will reopen the lane before Friday's morning commute, GDOT said.

That’s not all of it. GDOT will implement traffic pacing on Ga. 400 northbound and southbound so crews can work on the Mount Vernon Highway bridge. Pacing will start at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Earlier on the Southside, crashes on both sides of I-75 in Henry County brought cars to a standstill. The northbound lanes were blocked after a deadly wreck that killed an 11-year-old. The highway was reopened by noon.

Now for some good news: Following a mild start Thursday, Atlanta reached a summerlike 88 degrees, which is a degree above the expected high.

It’s currently 85 degrees.

“A lot of us will be rain-free today and warm,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Warm weather is forecast into the weekend.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain Thursday, Channel 2 reported. Severe storms started in far North Georgia around 5 p.m. Showers should clear before 11 p.m.

Rain has kept the pollen count low. Thursday’s count was 140 particles per cubic meter of air, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.

Temperatures in the 90s should make their 2018 debut this weekend, which Channel 2 Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said will make for a “wonderful Mother’s Day outdoors.”
