After enduring some chilly mornings recently, people in metro Atlanta and North Georgia should be able to enjoy some spring-like weather this weekend.

That may mean some rain, too.

By noon Saturday, the temperature should be around 62 degrees, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

“This afternoon, short sleeves, maybe shorts for some of you,” Monahan said.

The temperature should keep rising, to 65 at 2 p.m. and 68 by 4 p.m., according to Channel 2.

There’s a 10 percent chance of rain, Monahan said, though that mostly applies to the mountain areas north of Atlanta.

“These clouds have been building up,” Monahan said Saturday morning.

About 4:45 p.m., temps were 69 degrees in Atlanta, 49 in Blairsville and 73 in Griffin.

Temps should drop to the high 40s Saturday night and could hit 72 degrees Sunday, according to Channel 2.
