Expect severe weather, storms and even the possibility of tornadoes in some North Georgia counties Wednesday.

A tornado watch is in effect until 11 a.m. for Georgia counties including Bartow, Cherokee, Paulding and Pickens.

In other metro Atlanta areas, heavy rain and damaging winds are a greater possibility, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Rain will begin in far North Georgia early Wednesday and reach Atlanta by about 1 p.m.
