Metro Atlanta won’t see rain Sunday, but wet weather is on the way this week, Channel 2 Action News meteorologists say.
“It has been 41 days without measurable rain in Atlanta,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said.
Clouds filtering the sunshine will continue through the day, keeping temperatures cool and breezy with a high of 64 degrees.
A series of systems following those clouds are expected to bring rain, Monahan said.
The much needed rain isn’t expected until Tuesday, but the clouds coming in are expected to thicken.
“It’s going to be a wet week,” Monahan said.
Temperatures just before 6 p.m. were 58 degrees in Atlanta, 54 degrees in Blairsville and 58 degrees in Griffin.
