Sunday will be the 61st day at or above 90 degrees this year, meteorolists say.

The good news is that the average high falls from 89 to 88 degrees Sunday, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

By the first day of fall, Sept. 22, the average high is expected to be 81 degrees.

A 30 percent chance of rain brings isolated showeres and storms throughout the day, Monahan said.

Patchy clouds are expected to stock around about 11 p.m. with a few clouds left behind, but overnight should stay dry, Monahan said.

Over the next few days, temperatures are expected to stay in the 90s with 20 to 30 percent rain chances each day.
