The light drizzle falling Sunday morning is expected to develop into a rainy day and night.

And the wet weather isn’t expected to let up until Tuesday, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Jennifer Lopez said.

With the much-needed rain, Atlantans can expect gusty winds and temperatures in the 40s Sunday.

“At time, winds could gust up to 25 miles per hour,” Lopez said.

Temperatures at 10 a.m. were 45 degrees in Atlanta, 42 degrees in Blairsville and 45 degrees in Griffin.
