December is off to a unseasonably warm start, with high temperatures expected to reach 73 on Monday, after a high of 70 on Sunday.

Monday morning will start off with clouds and patchy fog which will give way to more and more sunshine, said Channel 2 Action news meteorologist Brad Nitz.

“It’s hard to believe we’re talking highs in the low 70s in the first week of December, when the average high is 58,” said Nitz.

Tuesday will start off sunny with highs in the lower 70s, but there’s a 40 percent chance of showers Tuesday night, Nitz said. Lows will still be in the 50s.

Chance of showers will continue Wednesday, and the highs will still be in the upper 60s.
