Muggy, dreary weather no more, expect lasting sunshine and highs near 90 degrees ahead.

Metro Atlanta got unusually dry conditions Wednesday that will last through Thursday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“Really comfortable for tomorrow, and then as we build toward the weekend, the heat turns up,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

Temperatures were 84 degrees in Atlanta, 76 degrees in Blairsville and 84 degrees in Griffin just after 1:30 p.m.

Highs will increase to 88 degrees Thursday, 91 degrees Friday and 92 degrees Saturday.

“Few more clouds Friday, you’ll notice the humidity increase a bit,” Monahan said.

Saturday’s high is expected to be 92 degrees, and Sunday’s high is at 94 degrees.
