Bundle up Atlanta! A freeze warning is in effect again for the metro area.

The frigid temperatures that cooled North Georgia down enough for snowfall on early Saturday will continue to keep metro Atlanta in the cold Sunday night into Monday.

In issuing a freeze warning for the area, the National Weather Service said temperatures could dip into the low 30s or 20s in many areas. The freeze warning is in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. Monday.

It follows a freeze warning that was put in effect for northern and middle Georgia until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Overall it was a chilly weekend in metro Atlanta. Wind gusts reached as high as 40 mph on Saturday. The high winds caused power outages across the metro area.

The Weather Service advised residents to protect pets and sensitive plants and vegetation in tonight’s freeze.
