Much of the metro area remained dry Monday evening, but don’t expect that to last.

Metro Atlanta faces a 40 percent chance of rain Tuesday, Channel 2 Action News reported.  Rain is expected the rest of this week with a 30 percent chance on Wednesday.

Rain chances decrease to 20 percent for the rest of the week.

Temperatures, however, will stay warm. Currently, it’s 76 degrees in Atlanta.

The pollen count jumped from 464 particles per cubic meter of air Sunday to 1,072 Monday, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.

While far short of last year’s season high of 4,107, the number is significantly higher than the pollen count of 317 this time last year.
