Metro Atlanta may see showers this weekend, but your plans shouldn’t be completely ruined.

Rain chances are at 30 percent Friday and 20 percent Saturday through Monday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

An isolated shower or thunderstorm isn’t out of the question Friday, but widespread showers are unlikely.

“The best opportunity around 3 o’clock will be generally in the eastern metro extending into the northeast Georgia mountains,” meteorologist Katie Walls said.

Eastern parts of metro Atlanta could pick up showers about 2 p.m., but they should clear out soon after. Showers throughout Georgia are expected to taper off after sunset, Walls said.

Temperatures will reach a high of 90 degrees just before 5 p.m. Friday in Atlanta.

Temps were 81 degrees in Atlanta, 73 in Blairsville and 78 in Griffin just before 10:30 p.m.
