If the chill in the air caught you by surprise Thursday, don’t let it sneak up on you Friday.

Expect dry, sunny and cool conditions this morning to last through the afternoon in metro Atlanta.

“You might see a few high clouds drift overhead over far North Georgia,” meteorologist Karen Minton said. “Otherwise, it’s going to be a spectacular looking day.”

Temps were 53 degrees in Atlanta, 42 in Blairsville and 50 in Griffin just before 6:20 a.m.

Atlanta could reach a high of 75 degrees after 3 p.m.

Highs are expected to return to the 80s Saturday.
