Showers have left metro Atlanta, but expect them to return this weekend.

A cold front is expected to bring showers and colder temps by 11 a.m. Saturday, when there is a 100 percent chance of rain,  Channel 2 Action News reported.

“It may take a day or two for that cold air to really filter into northern Georgia,” Channel 2 meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Atlanta’s expected high is 68 degrees on Saturday.

The current temperature is 56 degrees.

Clouds are expected to linger in the city through Friday evening, with temps increasing into the 60s by 11 p.m., Channel 2 Action News reported.

“Temperatures, by the way, will be gradually increasing as we head throughout the evening. Not something we typically see,” Channel 2 meteorologist Katie Walls said.

The forecast for Christmas Day continues to be for cooler temperatures — but no snow. Atlana set a record high of 75 in 2015, but Monday’s high should stay in the 40s.
