Power crews worked before dawn Wednesday, Apr. 6, 2011 restoring power along Robin Hood Road in Atlanta. Terri Statham, a spokeswoman for Georgia Electrical Membership Corporation, said 57,000 EMC customers -- including 10,000 in metro Atlanta -- remained in the dark at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Power crews worked before dawn Wednesday, Apr. 6, 2011 on restoring power along Robin Hood Road in Atlanta. The National Weather Service confirmed that storm damage near Eastman in Dodge County early Tuesday that left one person dead and two others injured was caused by a tornado.

About 500 workers from seven states assisted Georgia in restoring services to victims of Monday's severe thunderstorms. This crew was among 40 workers from Chatanooga who assisted Georgia Power. They helped replace downed power lines Thursday, April 7, 2011 near Emory University.
