After some of the lowest morning temperatures since about mid-May, metro Atlantans saw sunny skies, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Cool temps and sunshine are expected to continue through Tuesday.
Temperatures were 68 degrees in Atlanta, 54 in Blairsville and 55 in Griffin just before 10 p.m.
Temps fell just shy of the expected high of 77 degrees in Atlanta. They dropped to the 60s in the evening throughout metro Atlanta.
“It’s going to be another chilly night ahead in many locations,” Walls said.
According to the latest forecast, Tuesday is expected to start in the 40s in the suburbs and the 50s in Atlanta.
“We’ll continue with the cool mornings for the next several mornings,” Walls said. “By Thursday into Friday, dealing with high temperatures returning to the lower 80s.”
