Short of a few clouds, it’s been a pretty pleasant start to the week.

Temperatures increased above the average high of 67 degrees for this time of year, and hit a high of 72 by 4 p.m., according to Channel 2 Action News.

Temps were 58 degrees in Atlanta, 46 in Blairsville and 48 in Griffin at 10 p.m.

The Election Day forecast for Tuesday will be similar to the one today, with lows in the high 40s as polls open at 7 a.m. and highs in the low 70s, Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.

“So our weather is going to be quite nice and dry,” Minton said. “We’d love to have rain, but it’s not happening.”
