The heavy downpours are moving out of the metro area and cold weather is moving in, Channel 2 Action News meteorologists say.

Atlanta picked up less than an inch of rain Tuesday. Over the last four days, Atlanta has received less than 2 inches of rain.

Temperatures were 55 degrees in Atlanta, 53 in Rome and 57 in Eatonton at 10:30 p.m.

Arctic temperatures in the 20s are expected Friday and Saturday morning, meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

The next chance of rain is Thursday, according to the latest forecast. There is a 20 percent chance of precipitation that day.
