Sunday is going to be warm and sunny, Atlanta — and then things are going to get even better.

“We’ve got 70s on the way as we head into the work week,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said Saturday.

Metro Atlanta will start Sunday in the low to mid-40s and with a very small chance of rain, Monahan said, before temperatures warm to around 65 degrees. Monday’s high is forecast at 69 degrees and “some of the warmest air we’ve seen all season long” begins to move in, Monahan said.

Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to have highs around 72 and 75, respectively. Lows will stay in the 50s.
