Atlanta weather | ‘Plentiful sunshine,’ temperatures in the 60s

Jan 30, 2016

The weekend is underway, Atlanta, and it’s gorgeous. Gorgeous and warm.

Saturday started off cold but, as Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Katie Walls predicted, metro-area residents got “plentiful sunshine” and temperatures in the 60s by early afternoon. Sunday is forecast to be much of the same, with a low of 45 degrees and high of 67 expected for Atlanta.

Monday and Tuesday’s highs are expected to be 68 and 70 degrees, respectively, though there is a chance of scattered showers. The biggest chance for storms is currently Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, Walls said.

Walls forecast an 80 percent chance of rain Wednesday, with a low of 56 and high of 60.
