A frigid Friday morning will give way to a warmer, wetter weekend, forecasters say.

Sub-freezing temperatures will rise through partly cloudy skies that will turn to showers on Saturday, Severe Team 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.

“Oh, yes. There will be rain early” on Saturday, Minton said. “But sunshine is back Sunday afternoon.”

By mid-day on Friday, the Mercury will reach the low 50s, forecasters say.

By late Friday evening and early Saturday morning, expect precipitation Minton said.

Temperatures could reach the mid-50s on Saturday, but dry skies on Sunday will only yield temperatures in the high 40s.
