Short of a few clouds, it’s been a pretty pleasant start to the week.

Temperatures increased above the average high of 67 degrees for this time of year, and they are expected to hit a high of 72 by 4 p.m., according to Channel 2 Action News.

Temps were 70 degrees in Atlanta, 67 in Blairsville and 71 in Griffin just before 1:50 p.m.

The Election Day forecast for Tuesday will be similar to the one today, with lows in the high 40s as polls open at 7 a.m. and highs in the low 70s, Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.

“So our weather is going to be quite nice and dry,” Minton said. “We’d love to have rain, but it’s not happening.”
