Drizzle. Fog. Rain. Repeat.
That’s the forecast for the next several days in metro Atlanta, forecasters said. Our best chance of seeing sunshine will be Sunday, according to chief meteorologist Glenn Burns with Channel 2 Action News.
“The good part about it? It’s not cold with all of that,” Burns said.
Isolated showers are expected to linger Thursday night, along with drizzle and fog, Burns said.
More rain is in the forecast Friday, when temperatures will climb to the upper 70s and possibly hit 80 in some areas. The chance of rain is 40 percent during the day and increases to 60 percent late in the evening.
Saturday looks to be rainiest day yet, with a 80 percent chance of showers, Burns said. The rain won’t be completely gone Sunday, but the sun may peak through in the afternoon.
Then comes a cold front, Burns said.
The high temperature Sunday won’t get out of the 50s. There’s a 60 percent chance of rain Monday, but temperatures will reach only the middle 50s.
