Geckos and turtles and snakes, oh my! Whether you already own an exotic pet, are interested in buying one or just want to see some cool snakes and other animals, head to Repticon on Saturday and Sunday.

The reptile and exotic animal expo is coming to Lawrenceville, and you’ll be able to visit with breeder and vendors to buy pets and learn more about them. Hundreds of reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, spiders and other small exotic animals will be for sale if you’re looking for a new family pet. In some cases, vendors may allow you to hold a pet, but Repticon organizers caution that you should always ask first and bring hand sanitizer with you.

You’ll also be able to buy any gear you need to care for your exotic pet, including cages, accessories and live and frozen feeders.

You can learn more about exotic pets during hourly seminars led by herpetology experts. Animal encounters will also be held every hour so you can see pets up close and learn more about them.

The show will be held at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, and is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are are $15 for adults and $7 for ages 5-12. If you’d like to attend the expo after 1 p.m. on Saturday, adult tickets are reduced to $12.

Super Tickets are good for both days and are $20 for adults and $7 for ages 5-12. Tickets are available online only, and children ages 4 and under are admitted free.
