This week, we’ve got two emails from readers asking about past Digital Savant Micro features. First, Douglas writes, “In your article on (Microsoft) Edge, you told us everything but how to get it. I have Windows 7. Can you help us?”

The only way to get Microsoft’s new, sleeker Web browser Edge is to install Windows 10, where it replaces Internet Explorer. It’s not available for older versions of Windows, Mac or Linux — only computers, tablets and phones running Win10.

Rodney writes, “I tried speedtest.net and it said I have some computer issues that is slowing it down. Is it safe to use this website to fix these issues?”

Speedtest.net is great for testing your Internet speeds, but the site runs ads that may or may not help with issues related to your computer and should be treated with caution. It’s unlikely the website itself would be able to tell you if your computer itself is the problem. A safer bet would be to contact your Internet provider about your Internet speeds or seeing a PC specialist in person before trusting an online computer fix.
