Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis has cancelled on South by Southwest 2016 for a convergence panel with PBS CEO and president Paula Kerger that was to take place Monday.
The festival said on Wednesday that a scheduling conflict will prevent the "Commander in Chief" actress from attending the talk, "Gender in Media: Why It Matters."
Meanwhile, the actual Commander in Chief Barack Obama is still scheduled to deliver a keynote presentation 2:30 p.m. Friday at The Long Center.
Two other featured sessions appear to be off the schedule as well, one with Susan Glasser of Politico in conversation with Ana Marie Cox, and another with Mark Cuban and Meredith Perry of the wireless power company uBeam.
