Good morning, Austin! We have scoured the Internet to bring you what's happening in technology news today.

The devices, which could be unveiled next year, would give Samsung a head start on new Apple Inc. iPhones. One Samsung model will have a 5-inch screen when used as a handset, and unfurls into a display that's as large as 8 inches, similar to a tablet.

“This product could be a game-changer if Samsung successfully comes up with a user interface suitable for bendable screens,” said Lee Seung Woo, an analyst at IBK Securities Co. in Seoul, told Bloomberg. "Their biggest obstacle was related to making transparent plastics and making them durable, which seems resolved by now.”

Yahoo is expected to hold at least one more round of bidding, and the offers could change by the final cycle.

It wasn’t clear if the other suitors have submitted new bids, according to the Wall Street Journal report. They included private-equity firms Advent International and Austin-based Vista Equity Partners, as well as a group led by Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert.

According to Recode, Twitter's consumer product boss, Jeff Seibert, is out and no permanent replacement has been named. Seibert was the fourth person to run Twitter's core product since early 2014.

Twitter leaders have been vocal about the need to make the social media platform easier for users, and the next product leader will be key to that.
