Good morning, Austin. It's a big week for tech company earnings, and not necessarily a fun one. Here's what's happening out there:

Disappointing earnings reports have dealt a blow to the tech-dominated Nasdaq. Now we'll see what happens when Apple reports after today's closing bell. Wall Street is hoping the iPhone maker, which is dealing with a sales slump, can bring some confidence back into the tech sector,  Apple has already warned investors that its iPhone sales will be disappointing, but analysts are hoping to see the company top the lowered earnings bar.

As mobile carriers hustle to retain existing customers and lure new ones, T-Mobile ended the first quarter by doing both. The company added a net total of 2.2 million customers, bringing its total count to more than 65.5 million. CNET attributes the gains to the company's "boisterous" Uncarrier campaign, which has struck a chord with consumers looking for more budget-friendly mobile plans.

Facebook is developing a stand-alone camera app to encourage users to take and share more pictures and videos, the Wall Street Journal reports. The move reflects Facebook's concern over its users' "increasingly passive" behavior on the network, the Journal says. While many users check the social media site multiple times a day, fewer are sharing updates on their own lives.

Snapchat wants to end a ban on photos in the voting booth, and has filed an amicus brief in New Hampshire that expresses those feelings. The company calls ballot selfies ""the latest way that voters, especially young voters, engage with the political process," according to the New York Times.

Don't even think about taking a selfie while casting your Uber/Lyft vote this week. According to this list, all recording inside the polling place is expressly prohibited in Texas.
