We like to think of a new year as a tabula rasa, or blank slate. It’s the time to start afresh and attack goals with renewed fervor. (“I will write that novel!” “I will find a new job!” “I will get my finances in order!” etc.) Actually following through on those resolutions? Heckler Design — a Phoenix, Ariz.-based company that specializes in simple, sleek organizational tools for the office — makes a product called Cliff that takes you one step closer to a clean and uncluttered desk. An elevated computer display made of powder-coated steel, Cliff raises your monitor to a more ergonomic position (so no more perching it on a random pile of books). Plus, it aligns well with a laptop so users can work off two screens, if necessary.
