If you are using iOS 9.3 on your iPhone or iPad, here are new additions you may not have known about.

1. According to Apple, studies have shown exposure to bright blue light in the evening can make it harder to fall asleep. Use the new Night Shift setting to change the “temperature” of your screen at sunset to assume a warmer, more yellow color. Go to Settings, scroll down to and tap Display & Brightness. Turn on Night Shift, then either schedule or manually enable the screen tone change. You also can choose the degree of warmth.

2. Here’s an update for the Apple News app: Swipe left on a story and a menu box appears. You can mark a story “like,” save it to read later or share it via text message, email or social media. Conversely, swipe right to mark a story “dislike,” mute the channel or report a story.

3. When hunger kicks in, go to Apple Maps. It now contains data from Yelp that pinpoints and rates nearby restaurants, fast food places, coffee shops, bakeries, groceries — and where to find some dessert.
