You may be able to do away with your hard drive in the near future, because Google Drive will soon be able to back up your whole computer.

The company announced the news in a blog post this week, calling the feature "Backup and Sync."

The update, which will be available June 28, will allow consumer users to “access huge corporate data sets without taking up the equivalent space on their hard drives.”

This means people can save entire folders to Drive as opposed to individual files.

And you don’t have to monitor it frequently. The program will continue to automatically back up your files to ensure everything stays up to date.

Need more space than the 15GB offered? You can purchase an additional 100GB for $1.99 a month or 1TB got $9.99 a month.
