The good: Kenmore’s Elite 31633 washing machine has the best stain removal score of any top-loader we’ve tested so far. It also looks high-end and can hold twice as many clothes as your standard washer.
The bad: The touch-screen-integrated control panel is very sensitive and it doesn’t have an extra hot water temperature setting.
The cost: $1,019.99 to $1,099.99
The bottom line: The Kenmore Elite 31633 is the best top-load washer we’ve encountered to date.

The good: The Kenmore Elite 41072 washing machine has a 5.2-cubic-foot capacity, solid performance, and 14 different cleaning cycles.
The bad: Its list price of $1,650 is a lot to spend on a single laundry appliance. Fortunately, you can currently find it on sale for under $900 at Sears or on Amazon.
The cost: $859.99 to $1650
The bottom line: Kenmore’s 41072 performs well and can hold a lot more laundry than your standard front-load washer, making it a huge asset for larger families.

Samsung WV9900 FlexWash
