Texans coach Bill O’Brien may have a quarterback controversy.
O’Brien has been adamant that 27-year-old Tom Savage will be his starer for the 2017 season.
But rookie Deshaun Watson proved effective in Wednesday night’s 27-17 preseason loss in Carolina.
Watson completed 15 of his 25 attempts for 179 yards. He added 24 yards on the ground on three rushing attempts, including a third-quarter touchdown.
