The memorial service for former SEC Commissioner Mike Slive will be live streamed on WatchESPN Friday afternoon.

The service is expected to begin at 12:30 ET at Temple Emanu-El in Birmingham.

Slive, who died at the age of 77 Wednesday in Birmingham, Ala., was the commissioner of the SEC from 2002-2015. His accomplishments include the launch of the SEC Network in 2014 and the conference expanding to 14 members with the additions of Missouri and Texas A&M in 2011.

Born in Utica, N.Y on July 26, 1940, Slive was also the commissioner of Conference USA from 1995-2002.
