The Miami Hurricanes traveled to the Dan E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill, NC Tuesday and pulled off the upset over UNC, 91-88.

With 4.1 seconds left in regulation and the ninth-ranked Tar Heels trailing 88-85, UNC’s Joel Berry II made a 3-point jumper to tie the game at 88.

Miami did not take a timeout and immediately impounded the ball to Ja/Quan Newton who drove the ball across the court and sank the shot from UNC’s logo to win the game 91-88.

Newton recorded 15 points and three assists in the win and shot 5-of-11 from the field and hit his only shot beyond the 3-point line.
