Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was shocked when he learned his brother Taulia committed to play for the Crimson Tide Saturday before Alabama’s A-Day spring scrimmage.
Taulia, a 4-star quarterback at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Ala., committed to play for Alabama in 2019 Saturday afternoon in a video posted by CBS42's Simone Eli.
In a video by CBS42, Simone congratulated Tua on his brother’s commitment on the sidelines of Bryant-Denny Stadium during the spring scrimmage, but the sophomore quarterback said it was the first he heard of his brother announcing his decision.
“He’s going to have to sit out if he comes here,” Tagovailoa said in the video.
