Atlanta Hawks power forward John Collins was productive in his first regular-season NBA game on Wednesday night.

The rookie out of Wake Forest finished the Hawks win over the Dallas Mavericks with 14 points, one assist and five rebounds.

Before finishing third in scoring behind Dennis Schroder (28 points) and Marco Belinelli (20) on Wednesday, Collins scored his first basket as a pro which can be watched below:

According to Fox Sports South, Collins became the first rookie to score 13 or more points in a Hawks debut since Rumeal Robinson in 1990.

In his regular season debut, Collins also had a nice dunk to end the first quarter.

The Hawks went on to win their season opener 117-111 over the Mavericks.

Atlanta continues their stretch of five-straight road games on Friday at 7 p.m. against the Charlotte Hornets p.
