Twitter reacts: Julio Jones to hold out from training camp

According to a NFL Network report, Julio Jones does not plan to report for the start of the Atlanta Falcons’ training camp Thursday.
#Falcons WR Julio Jones does not plan to report to camp and he is comfortable sitting out the entire time, sources said. He is still seeking a contract adjustment, while the team made clear to him they did not plan to give him one. He appears resolute in his mindset.

Twitter users expressed mixed opinions about Jones’ decision to hold out.
Julio Jones signed a deal that made him the top paid wr at the time. Either he should have negotiated diff terms or signed a shorter deal.

#JulioJones is being a selfish distraction for the @AtlantaFalcons 2018 training camp. We understand you want more money, but be a man of your word. 3 years left on a deal you signed. #11 jersey stays in closet, oh well. pic.twitter.com/bDCcAQPTYi

@juliojones_11 you are worth the $ but this is your chance to be the stand up guy and honor your contract. @AtlantaFalcons will take care of you 2019. Show the rookies what a man does. https://t.co/49YM4DeRvT

Aye @M_Ryan02 you should give @juliojones_11 90% of your contract cause he's the only reason you're still a starting QB in the NFL

As much as they act like they don't want to admit it, the @NFL, teams. and fans need to recognize that the game isn't anything without the players. Get the money you deserve @juliojones_11 @LeVeonBell and @NFLPA

@juliojones_11 You signed the contract knowing that year 4 you'd be making $10 million instead of 16, be a man and honor your word. You should have designed your contract to be heavy in the front and not more balanced.

Pay the man! @AtlantaFalcons @juliojones_11
