Hawks rookie Trae Young finished with 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting but his team lost to the Blazers 120-111 late Saturday night in Portland.

Young also had eight assists for the Hawks, who fell to 15-33 and play at the Clippers Monday night at 10:30..

John Collins scored 21 for the Hawks. Young was 3-of-6 from 3-point distance.

Another rookie, Kevin Huerter, had a rough night for the Hawks. He was 1-of-8 from the field, 0-for-5 on 3-pointers, and finished with just three points in 21 minutes.

All five Portland starters scored in double figures.

CJ McCollum had 28 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds for his first career triple-double.

Seth Curry, who got a start in place of a resting Damian Lillard, scored 22 points for the Trail Blazers.

McCollum had 10 points and three assists in the third quarter to give Portland a three-point lead heading to the fourth. The Hawks pulled to 101-100 with 7:17 remaining, but Curry scored 11 points during the Blazers' 13-0 game-closing run.

After the Hawks jumped out to an early 11-7 lead, Portland outscored them 33-19 to build a 10-point lead after the first quarter.

The Hawks quickly cut the Blazers lead to three in the early moments of the second quarter. Dwayne Dedmon's dunk with the 7:39 left in the quarter gave the Hawks a one-point lead and they led by as many as six.

The Hawks held a 1-point lead at halftime.
