On the mound: Braves starter Miguel Batista gave up three hits with seven strikeouts and a walk in six scoreless innings. In June, while pitching for the Mets, he threw a scoreless inning against the Tides' major league affiliate Baltimore. The Braves entered the 9th with as 3-0 lead before relievers Cole McCurry and Andrew Russell gave up two and one runs, respectively.
