How the winning run scored: Endy Chavez reached on a throwing error on his sacrifice bunt attempt, took second on a force out at third, went to third on a walk and scored on a sacrifice.

At the plate: Jose Constanza extended his IL leading on base streak to 37 games iwht a first inning walk.

On the mound: Braves starter Miguel Batista gave up three hits with seven strikeouts and a walk in six scoreless innings. In June, while pitching for the Mets, he threw a scoreless inning against the Tides' major league affiliate Baltimore. The Braves entered the 9th with as 3-0 lead before relievers Cole McCurry and Andrew Russell gave up two and one runs, respectively.

What's next for Gwinnett: The Braves host the tides at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday. After a day off Wednesday the bravrs conclude the final ghomes stnad wiht four each against Syracuse and Pawtucket.
