A few members of the Sports Illustrated Monday Morning Quarterback staff are putting their faith in the sixth-seeded Atlanta Falcons for the first couple rounds of the NFL playoffs.
Three of its 11 writers -- Jonathan Jones, Conor Orr and Gary Gramling -- predict the Falcons to make it all the way to the NFC Championship game.
After defeating the Los Angeles Rams this Saturday at 8:15 p.m., the Falcons would travel to face No. 1 Philadelphia next weekend. These were the only the three writers to choose the Falcons over the Rams.
After the defeating the Eagles on the road, the Falcons would head to Minnesota to play the No. 2 Vikings in all three bracket -predictions. However, this is where Atlanta’s playoff run would end as the Falcons won’t be able to avenge a 14-9 loss to the Vikings earlier in the season.
In Jones', Orr's and Gramling's bracket the Vikings fall to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Atlanta has 19/1 odds to win the Super Bowl according to SportsBettingDime.com.
Some other highlights from the 11 MMQB playoff brackets: The Vikings and Patriots are tied to win the Super Bowl with four votes each, while the Steelers have three. The Vikings have 10 votes to win the NFC, while the Saints have one. The Steelers lead the the AFC with six AFC Championship votes, while the Steelers have five.
