Florida Gators’ pitcher Kelly Barnhill, utility player Jaimie Hoover and outfielder Jacqui Switzer will represent Georgia in the Women’s College World Series Championship this week.
A sophomore, Barnhill is graduate of Pope High School in Marietta. Hoover, from Suwanee’s Collins Hill High School, and Switzer, from Grayson’s Archer High School both graduated in 2016.
No. 1 Florida defeated Washington on Sunday to advance to the Championship Series and face No. 10 Oklahoma. Oklahoma defeated Oregon on Sunday to advance.
Game 1 in the best of three series is on Monday night at 7 p.m.
Game 2 will be played on Tuesday at 8 p.m. and Game 3 will be played on Wednesday at 8 p.m. if necessary. All games will be broadcast on ESPN.
