Two Atlanta United players and an academy player were selected for the U.S. Under-17 men’s national team that will play in the World Cup in India in October.

Players Andrew Carleton, a forward and native of Powder Springs, midfielder Chris Goslin, a native of Locust Grove, and goalkeeper Justin Garces, a native of Miami, were chosen by coach John Hackworth.

Carleton has one appearance for Atlanta United. Goslin has yet to appear. Garces is in the academy.

The U.S. will play India on Oct. 6, Ghana on Oct. 9 and Colombia on Oct. 12.

The championship and third-place matches are Oct. 28.
