Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who’s in a mini-passing slump, will be on the hot seat against Seattle at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Georgia Dome.

The Falcons have lost five of their past six games, and Ryan has thrown seven interceptions in the past two games.

He threw four interceptions in a 27-13 loss to Arizona on Oct. 27 and three against Carolina in a 34-10 loss on Nov. 3.

“It’s one of those things where you keep going after it,” Ryan said. “There are peaks and valleys. Obviously, I haven’t played my best the last couple of weeks. But you have to keep plugging away.”

In fairness, Ryan played both of those games with his backup wide receivers. Julio Jones is out of the season, and Roddy White was inactive because of hamstring and ankle injuries.

Ryan’s main receivers are Harry Douglas, Drew Davis and Darius Johnson, an undrafted rookie free agent. Ryan could get a boost with the return of White against the Seahawks.

“I know that I’m capable of better,” Ryan said.

Ryan has completed 225 of 332 pass attempts for 2,442 yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has a passer rating of 91.7, which ranks 10th in the NFL for quarterbacks with 230 attempts or more.

The 10 interceptions rank fourth in the NFL behind the Giants’ Eli Manning (15), the Cardinals’ Carson Palmer (14) and the Jets’ Geno Smith (13).

Ryan plans to keep on chucking it.

“You still have to remain confident and cut it loose,” Ryan said.
