Kawon Bryant, North Oconee
• Position: Running back
• Height, weight: 5-9, 205
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Bryant has received scholarship offers from Central
Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia State and Kennesaw State as well as interest
from Auburn, Georgia Southern and South Carolina, according to
247Sports.com.
• 2013 season wrapup: Bryant was named the Class AAA offensive player of the
year last season after rushing for 2,559 yards on 272 carries (9.4 yards per
carry). He ran for a state-leading 41 touchdowns during the regular season
and caught 15 passes for 208 yards. North Oconee finished 7-4 and lost in
the first round of the playoffs.
• School's first Super 11 since: Bryant is the first.
Chuma Edoga, McEachern
• Position: Offensive tackle
• Height, weight: 6-4, 285
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Committed to Southern Cal
• 2013 season wrapup: The five-star recruit, who was named first-team
all-state in Class AAAAAA last season, is the No. 3 prospect in Georgia and
the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation in the 247Sports Composite
rankings. He was the top offensive lineman on a team that had a 1,200-yard
passer and two 1,100-yard rushers in 2013. McEachern finished 11-3 and
reached the state semifinals.
• School's first Super 11 since: Ted Laurent in 2006.
Terry Godwin, Callaway
• Position: Wide receiver/defensive back
• Height, weight: 6-0, 165
• Class: Senior
College choices: Committed to Georgia
2013 season wrapup: Godwin was a first-team all-state receiver last season
after catching 24 passes for 585 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had 38
tackles, five interceptions and three pass break-ups for a team that
finished 12-2 and reached the Class AAA semifinals. Godwin is No. 1
nationally at the athlete position in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
School's first Super 11 since: Godwin is the first.
Mitch Hyatt, North Gwinnett
• Position: Offensive tackle
• Height, weight: 6-6, 275
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Committed to Clemson
• 2013 season wrapup: Hyatt, considered one of the nation's top offensive line
prospects, was a first-team all-state selection in Class AAAAAA last season
and was voted offensive lineman of the year by Gwinnett County coaches. He
paved the way for an offense that averaged 229 yards passing and 142 yards
rushing. North Gwinnett finished 13-2 and lost to Norcross in the state
final.
• School's first Super 11 since: Hyatt is the first.
Kaleb Kim, Mill Creek
• Position: Offensive tackle
• Height, weight: 6-4, 280
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Committed to Auburn
2013 season wrapup: Kim was named first-team all-state in Class AAAAAA last
season after finishing with an overall blocking grade of 88 percent with 37
pancake blocks. He led the way for an offense that averaged more than 420
yards and 40 points per game. Mill Creek went 6-4 but failed to make the
playoffs out of Region 7-AAAAAA, which put two teams in the state
championship game.
• School's first Super 11 since: Kim is the first.
Chauncey Rivers, Stephenson
• Position: Defensive end
• Height, weight: 6-3, 240
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Committed to Georgia
• 2013 season wrapup: Rivers was named first-team all-state in Class AAAAA
last season after recording 108 tackles, 29 tackles for losses and 15 sacks.
Stephenson finished 9-3 in 2013, reached the second round of the state
playoffs and held eight of 12 opponents to seven points or less.
• School's first Super 11 since: Jarontay Jones in 2011.
Rashad Roundtree, Lakeside-Evans
• Position: Safety
• Height, weight: 6-1, 195
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Roundtree reportedly has about 15 scholarship offers, with
strong interest from Georgia, Auburn, Duke and Ohio State.
2013 season wrapup: Roundtree was a first-team all-state selection in Class
AAAAA last season and was named the Region 2-AAAAA defensive player of the
year. He finished the season with 97 tackles and four interceptions for a
Lakeside team that went 6-5 and reached the first round of the playoffs.
• School's first Super 11 since: Roundtree is the first.
Roquan Smith, Macon County
• Position: Linebacker/running back
• Height, weight: 6-2, 205
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Smith has offers from more than 20 BCS schools, and Florida
and Georgia appear to be the leaders, according to 247Sports.
2013 season wrapup: Smith was named a first-team all-state linebacker in
Class AA last season after finishing with 101 tackles, 36 tackles for
losses, 12 sacks, four interceptions, five forced fumbles, three fumble
recoveries and two defensive touchdowns. He also had 106 yards rushing, 609
yards receiving and nine touchdowns on offense for a 6-5 team.
• School's first Super 11 since: Kevis Burnam in 2001.
Jayson Stanley, Creekside
• Position: Wide receiver
• Height, weight: 6-3, 205
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Georgia and Auburn are reported to be among his favorites
out of close to 25 scholarship offers.
• 2013 season wrapup: Stanley was the leading receiver for a team that had a
2,500-yard passer and two 1,300-yard rushers last season. He finished with
41 receptions for 817 yards and 16 touchdowns as the Seminoles finished 15-0
and won their first state title. Stanley had the longest play from
scrimmage, a 77-yard touchdown reception, in a 52-28 victory against Tucker
in the AAAAA final.
• School's first Super 11 since: Josh Holsey in 2011.
Trent Thompson, Westover
• Position: Defensive tackle
• Height, weight: 6-4, 290
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Committed to Georgia
• 2013 season wrapup: Thompson was named first-team all-state in Class AAAA
last season after finishing with 83 tackles, 38 tackles for losses and 12
sacks. Westover won a school-record nine games in 2013 and reached the
second round of the playoffs. Thompson is the consensus No. 2 prospect in
the country and the No. 1 prospect in Georgia.
• School's first Super 11 since: Troy Reddick in 2001.
Preston Williams, Lovejoy
• Position: Wide receiver
• Height, weight: 6-5, 205
• Class: Senior
• College choices: Committed to Tennessee
• 2013 season wrapup: Williams was named the Class AAAAAA offensive player of
the year after catching 56 passes for 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns for a
team that finished 10-2. In a 27-23 victory against Marietta in the first
round of the playoffs, he caught seven passes for 275 and four touchdowns,
including a game-winning 47-yarder on the final play of the game.
